Mr. Dunaway began his training in Tae Kwon Do in the
fall of 1971 while a freshmen in college. During his
military years while serving in the United States Marine
Corps he trained in Isshinryu Karate while stationed
overseas. Due to a few career changes and relocations
he settled back into Tae Kwon Do training. In 1989,
while studying under Master France Pruter, he was
awarded his black belt... He currently holds the rank of
3rd Degree Black Belt. Mr. Dunaway was most recently
employed as a Firearms and Defensive Tactics
Instructor for Missouri State Probation and Parole
where he taught many classes in safety awareness,
use of force, pepper spray, firearms safety and
marksmanship and defense tactics. Retiring from this
position in April, 2005, has given him the opportunity to
open Green Hills Tae Kwon Do & Personal Safety, and
become a full time Tae Kwon Do instructor.


Mrs. Dunaway began her training in Tae Kwon Do in
1988 under the instruction of Master France Pruter.
After obtaining the rank of high brown, she found it
necessary to take time off from her training in order
to continue her education, and devote time to raising
her family. In 2004 she returned to Tae Kwon Do
and in October, 2005, was awarded her 1st degree
Black Belt from Master Bob Howard and Mr.
Dunaway. Mrs. Dunaway was recently awarded her
2ndŽ degree from Masters France and Kevin Pruter.
Mrs. Dunaway received her Bachelor of Science in
Business Administration with a major in accounting
and minor in finance from Southeast Missouri State
University in 1985, and her Masters of Business
Administration from the University of Phoenix in
2004. Prior to becoming a full time instructor, and
school owner, she held the position of Global Cost
Director at Wireco World Group, Inc. located in
Kansas City, MO.
