In this eight hour course, officers will be training in topics including the G.R.A.S.P.™ and C.L.A.M.P.™ offender management systems, defenses against being taken to the ground, weapon retention while on the ground, controlling an offender while on the ground, the advantages and disadvantages of ground defenses, as well as other topics. Not only could our Law Enforcement Officer's Safety and Offender Control training program be of significant benefit to officers, while allowing them to obtain eight (8) hours toward their P.O.S.T. annual requirements, but Departments could also realize cost benefits thru decreased travel and training costs, by having training conducted on a local level. |
